Candle Care & Other Tips
For an optimal and safe experience with our handcrafted candles, kindly adhere to our care guidelines provided below.
We also include Care Guides for our Classic Tote Bags and Ceramic Mugs.
Handcrafted Wick Candles (Wooden and/or Cotton)
Burning Tips
- For an extended burn, consistently trim the wick to 1/8'' (3mm) before relighting.
- Ensure your candle remains free from extraneous materials, including matchsticks and leftover wick parts.
- Store your unlit candles away from direct sunlight or intense heat.
- Always set your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Avoid burning any of our candles for over two hours in one go.
- For safety, halt burning when only about 1/4'' of wax remains.
- Having trouble trimming the wooden wick? A larger nail trimmer can be an effective alternative, particularly as the candle nears its end.
Safety First
Always burn within sight and protect from external disturbances. Keep out of children and pets' reach. Never place the candle near inflammable items.
Please Note
Not adhering to these guidelines might result in varying burn times, potential heat damage, or risk of injury and fire.
Sculptural Candles
Keep In Mind
Our sculptural candles, while primarily decorative, can be lit. However, the burn time might differ due to their unique shapes.
Burning Tips
- Before lighting, remove all tags or decorative items from the candle.
- For longer burning, trim the wick to 1/4'' each time.
- Store in a cool, shaded place when not in use.
- Place on a flat, wax-collecting, fire-resistant surface when burning. Wax spillage is anticipated.
- End burning when about 1/4'' of wax remains to avoid potential damage to your holder or tray.
Safety First
Always burn within sight and protect from external disturbances. Keep out of children and pets' reach. Never place the candle near inflammable items.
Please Note
Not adhering to these guidelines might result in varying burn times, potential heat damage, or risk of injury and fire.
Wax Melts
Keep In Mind
Our wax melts are compatible with both electric and
tea-light burners.
Usage Tips
- Set one wax melt in your warmer or burner dish and light an unscented tea-light underneath. The melting wax will gradually release its fragrance. Adjust the quantity as desired.
- Avoid burning for over three continuous hours.
- To swap out melts, briefly reheat the hardened wax until it's just soft enough to remove in one piece. Clean any residue with a paper towel.
Storing Wax Melts
Shield wax melts from light and temperature changes by storing them in a cool, shaded place. Keep unused melts dust-free by returning them to their original packaging.
